‚There are many things what happen during the prana pratishta, even if it is just a mantra or just a symbol. But the Lord really gives His presence. So this is prana pratishta, where the life force – Gods life force – is flowing and that place doesn´t just stay just a place. It becomes a temple. A temple, where God resides.‘

– Paramahamsa Vishwananda

What should I pay attention to, how should I behave?

A temple in honor of God is a place of encounter and prayer, a space with room for personal experience, experiencing community, and immersing yourself in beautiful rituals and music for the Divine. We ask that you treat this place with respect. The inauguration is a festive occasion, colorful and modest attire is recommended. Remember that you are coming to meet the Divine. Traditional Indian dress is welcome, but not required.

The consumption of meat and alcohol is prohibited on our premises, smoking is only permitted at the designated areas at the edge of the ashram site.

Why are there so many deities?

One God with many faces – We believe in one God. We call Him Sriman Narayana. Although He lives within us, He also takes on a variety of external forms. These forms allow us to experience a relationship with Him that we consider to be the most important in our lives. Each of these external forms has a unique set of qualities and characteristics. This gives you the freedom to love and relate to the one form of the Divine that you find most attractive.
